About Ballot Cast Network
![]()
Ballot Cast Network is the brainchild of Marc Edelman and Jimmy Trojanowski. Originally started to provide political information to the community of League City, Texas, we discovered a larger geographic region needed to be covered to provide a full political picture to our listeners.
The show debuted as "Anything League City" on July 13, 2005 with the website LeagueCity.Biz, a single server and a single microphone that Marc and Jimmy passed back and forth between them. Due to the interest the public has shown, the show has enjoyed guest from National Politicians to local school board members. Also due to public interest the show is now broadcast live on three servers nearly every Wednesday night around 7:30 PM. Additionally the show can be downloaded from our site and dozens of podcast search engines from iTunes to Yahoo Podcasts and many, many more.
Our cast has grown with our audience. We have had the good fortune to have local political activist and Democratic Precinct Chairman Chris Mallios join our weekly broadcast team as well as Onzelo Markum of The Markum Group. The Markum Group is a privately owned conservative political consulting agency. With the addition of these two personalities, the show is able to deliver powerful debate and deliver a diverse perspective on many political topics. Joining our broadcast team in early 2007 to provide a monthly "State of the Party" segment, we have Kerry Neves who is the chairman of the Galveston County Republican Party as well as Lloyd Criss who is the Chairman of the Galveston County Democratic Party. Last but not least in mid 2007 we have been joined by Kathy Rogers who is the Chairperson of the Friendswood Republican Women organization to fill in for Onzelo Markum when his schedule cannot provide time for him to attend the show.
In July of 2006, an extremely popular local political blog in League City called YouveBeenLeft.Net ran anonymously by somebody using the pseudonym Max Kelly decided to take a hiatus and redirected his traffic to a blog we created for our site. The participation since then has been great and Max will still occasionally stop in to share his opinion with our other bloggers.
In July of 2007 we adopted the name "The Political Party" to indicate to our listeners that our show is no longer limited to League City and Galveston County. Additionally this title is to imply the informal and relaxed nature of the show.
Including our blog, our live broadcast, show downloads and podcast access, Ballot Cast Network provides information to thousands of visitors every week.
